Film Broken Hill is a joint initiative of the Far Western Regional Development Board, the NSW Department of State and Regional Development, the Commonwealth Department of Transport & Regional Services, the Broken Hill City Council and local freelance technicians. We operate under the wing of the City Council and in close collaboration with the NSW Film & Television Office. …We, like all of NSW, are serious about the business of filmmaking. We provide a one-stop information and referral service to filmmakers and commercial photographers interested in outback locations. We will assist you with: - Location enquiries;
- Referral of local technicians, facilities and businesses;
- Tracking of location clearances and approvals.
Our 'film savvy' (AFCI accredited) film officers have the local knowledge and contact base to be your eyes and ears before you arrive and have the industry expertise to sort out any unexpected problems when you are here. Our services include: - In-kind assistance for reccies and inbound missions; *
- Location scouting at no charge; *
- The Provision of images from our database online, on CD or via hard copy;
- On set liaison services. *
